What we repair.
Rock chips and short cracks in the windshield are filled with resin and stopped. A side window that has come off its track, drops into the door or grinds on the way up is a regulator or motor job, not a glass job. A molding that has lifted, a seal that whistles at freeway speed, or a leak at the top corner after a rain is a reseal. All of it is quicker and cheaper than replacement, and all of it is done the same day in most cases.
When we say replace instead.
A crack from the edge, damage in the driver's line of sight, tempered glass that has shattered, or a windshield with more than one impact is past a repair. We say so on the call, quote the replacement on the spot, and never sell a repair that will fail in a month. With comprehensive coverage, repairs are usually free and replacement is covered minus your deductible.
