What is free, what is not, and what we do about the rest.

Chip repair is the easy one: most carriers cover it in full because it saves them a replacement. Windshield replacement is covered minus your comprehensive deductible, and that is where the up-to-$250 credit comes in. Calibration, when your car needs it, rides on the same claim.

The deductible math, in plain terms

Say your comprehensive deductible is $500. On a covered windshield replacement, your carrier pays the balance and you owe the $500. Our credit takes up to $250 off that, so you leave owing $250 or less. If your deductible is $250 or lower, the credit can cover it entirely. We give you the exact number on the call before anything is scheduled.

Two things people are surprised by. First, a chip repair is usually free with comprehensive coverage, no deductible at all, because a $50 repair saves the carrier a $500 replacement. Second, a break-in that takes out a door window or the back glass is a comprehensive claim too, same process, same credit.

Questions

Insurance and pricing, answered.

Does a chip repair count as a claim?
It is filed as a comprehensive glass claim, but most carriers waive the deductible on repairs and do not treat a repair the way they treat a collision. Ask your carrier if you want it in writing; we can ask for you on the three-way call.
What if I do not have comprehensive coverage?
Then the job is cash, quoted on the phone in minutes. Rock chip repair starts at $50, and active military, veterans, first responders and seniors get a discount.
Will filing a glass claim raise my rates?
Glass claims are comprehensive claims, not at-fault collision claims, and in California a comprehensive glass claim on its own generally does not raise your premium. Your carrier has the final word, and we can ask them with you on the call.
Which carriers do you work with?
Every major carrier, billed directly. If yours is not on the list below, it almost certainly still works. Call and we will confirm before anything is scheduled.
